Zobo drink is a ruby red coloured drink made from steaming dried sepal of zobo leaf in hot water, which can be flavoured in a variety of ways.

Steps to make Zobo Drink:
  1. Wash your zobo leaves in an ordinary water to get rid of dirts and dust particles. Put the zobo leave in a cooking pot that can contain it, add moderate amount of water and allow to boil for about 25 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile you've washed your pineapple and peeled, you now add the pineapple peels, ginger and lemon if you want ie after washing it, all into the boiling zobo. you allow it to boil for 20 minutes. Blend the pineapple and keep aside.
  3. Remove from heat, allow to cool and sieve into a bowl that can contain it to remove residue. You can also sieve your blended pineapple into the zobo, add your honey or sugar and mix together. You can now put it into containers and refrigerate, but if it is too concentrated, you can add more water to dilute it.
  4. I prefer using fresh fruits as my flavours, but you can use any of your choice and still arrive at the end point. Enjoy.
